Gear Review: Mizuno Wave Nirvana 7

Mizuno Wave Nirvana from 2011

article original written in 2012

Mizuno Wave Nirvana 7- This was my first "real" pair of running shoes. Starting out I was advised to get a stability shoe and not knowing any better I did just that. The Wave Nirvana is an incredibly comfortable shoe with a very pronounced, upturned toe box. The rolling feeling from mid foot to toe off is really nice. This shoe is a bit on the heavy side at 12.2 oz and has a 12mm heel to toe drop. The tongue is partially sewn in with elastic bands and the upper is super breathable. Other sites can tell you all about the new mid sole material and the wave plate technology. I'm telling you it feels great, get this shoe if you like a traditional thick heeled running shoe.
